UPPSC Prelims Question Paper 2025 FAQs

The official question paper PDF will be available on the UPPSC website (uppsc.up.nic.in) under the "Examinations" or "Previous Year Papers" section, typically within 1-2 weeks after the exam. For preparation, previous years’ papers (2003-2024) are already accessible on the UPPSC site.

The provisional answer key for both papers is expected on uppsc.up.nic.in around October 15-20, 2025. Candidates can raise objections online within 7-10 days, paying ₹100 per question with supporting evidence. The final key will be published after resolving objections. To estimate scores, use the formula: (Correct Answers × Marks per Question) - (Incorrect × 0.33).

The 2025 Prelims paper was moderate, aligning with recent trends. GS-I emphasised current affairs (20-25 questions), UP-specific history and geography (15-20 questions), and a balanced mix of polity and economy. CSAT focused on comprehension and reasoning, with fewer analytical questions. UP-specific topics, like state schemes, were prominent, so reviewing state-related content is key for future aspirants.

The Prelims result is expected in November 2025, published as a list of roll numbers qualified for Mains on uppsc.up.nic.in. Merit is determined by GS-I scores, with cut-offs likely around 100-110 for General, 100-105 for OBC, and 90-100 for SC/ST, based on past trends. Roughly 10-15 times the vacancies (around 2,000-3,000 candidates) will qualify for Mains.
