IPS Height & Weight 2025

• Women (General Category): Minimum height of 150 cm, reduced to 145 cm for Scheduled Tribes (ST) and certain designated groups.

• Men (General Category): Minimum height of 165 cm, lowered to 160 cm for STs (excluding SC/OBC).

No upper weight limit exists, but candidates must be free from physical impairments that could hinder duty performance. IPS officers must demonstrate robust fitness, passing tests like the 100-meter sprint, long jump, 800-meter run, high jump, and shot put. IPS medical test conducted post interview into 2 phase one by UPSC and another during training period at Sardar vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy ( SVPNPA) ,
