Reserved-category candidates in Haryana (SC, ST, OBC) get an extra 5 years on the upper age limit. This means they can apply until age 47 (42 + 5). The relaxation applies only if the candidate is a Haryana domiciled SC, ST, or OBC.

For the DSP post, the age range is 18–27 years. This is lower than the general HCS range. If a candidate is SC/ST/OBC of Haryana, they get a 5-year extension, so they can be up to 32 years old.

No. HPSC has not fixed any maximum number of attempts for HCS. Candidates can apply as many times as they want, as long as they meet the age eligibility. In other words, you can keep trying each year until you exceed the age limit.

Haryana PwD candidates get a 10-year relaxation on top of the normal limit. This means a general PwD candidate can apply up to age 52 (42 + 10). If a candidate is both PwD and SC/ST, the total relaxation is 15 years (so up to age 57). In practice, general PwD applicants can be up to 52 years old, while SC/ST PwD applicants can be up to 57 under these rules
