Window of working together:
  • Meaning: It suggests that there is a specific timeframe or set of circumstances in which it is advantageous or necessary for individuals or groups to work together towards a common goal.
  • It can be used to the limited opportunity that exits for a short duration.
  • Usage: It In demographic dividend, cooperative & competitive federalism, climate change and global warming (Tipping points), Atmanirbhar Bharat, GST, Exports etc

De-coupling to Coupling of Economic growth and environment sustainability:
  • Meaning: It signifies a shift from a model where economic growth is dependent on or leads to environmental degradation to a model where economic growth is aligned with and supports environmental sustainability.
  • Usage: It can be used in Green technologies and innovation (green mobility– Ex: biofuels, green hydrogen etc.), Green Growth & Sustainable development - Climate smart agriculture, Power sector (Smart Grids), Urban Forestry, Green & Blue infrastructure, Mission LIFE etc.

Cyclical headwinds:
  • Meaning: It refers to the challenges or unfavorable conditions that periodically affect an economic or business cycle.
  • Factors or forces that create headwinds or obstacles to economic growth, expansion, or stability within a specific cycle.
  • Usage: Policy factors: Government policies, fiscal or monetary policies, regulations, or trade policies. EX: GST, Economic factors: Interest rates, inflation, shifts in global economic conditions, supply chain disruption. EX: Ukraine-Russia, Market factors: Reduced demand, increased competition, shifts in consumer preference, External factors: Geopolitical events, natural disasters, or global economic shocks.

Intrusive Approach:
  • Meaning: It refers to a method or behavior that invades someone's privacy, personal space, or autonomy in a way that is unwelcome or inappropriate. 
  • It involves crossing personal boundaries, disregarding consent, or imposing oneself on others without their permission or invitation.
  • Usage: In questions related to privacy issue (need of Draft Data protection Bill), cooperative federalism, Institutional autonomy (Civil services, Election commission, CBI, media), Digital divide, Gender issues, IR (bilateral relations or global conflicts), Scheme Implementation etc.
  • For Example: Recent Caste Census in Bihar.

Example of healthy competition at district level/good governance:
  • Case:  Arunachal Pradesh.
  • The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh with Knowledge Partner CGG, Hyderabad jointly released the first District Good Governance Index of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Significance: To assess the status of governance and impact of various interventions taken up by the Central and State Governments
  • To provide guidance to the State Government and the District administration in their efforts to address existing gaps, plan to bridge these gaps and aid as decision making tool. 
  • The rankings bring healthy competition amongst districts in their quest to provide citizen centric administration and good governance.

Growth of Khadi Industries/KVIC:
  • In the last 9 financial years (2013-14 to 2022-23), there has been an unprecedented growth of 268% in the production of KVI products, & growth of 332% in sales indigenous Khadi Product.

Linguistic Diversity in India:
  • India is thus one of the four most linguistically diversified countries in the world, along with Papa New Guinea, Indonesia, and Nigeria.
  • According to an estimate', out of 7,111 languages spoken globally, about 788 languages are spoken in India alone.

Technical Textile:

  • Definition: Debentures are unsecured (collateral free) bonds or debt instruments released by a government authority or company to finance its long-term, capital-intensive projects.
  • Convertible or Non-convertible: Convertible ones can be transformed into equity shares after a particular period. Whereas, the non-convertible type is a debt instrument that cannot be converted into equity shares.
