Gender Budgeting Knowledge Hub: The Central Government has launched the Gender Budgeting Knowledge Hub, a digital platform to promote gender-sensitive planning across India.

• About Gender Budgeting Knowledge Hub: A centralised online portal to help integrate gender concerns in planning and budgeting.

o Aims to support policymakers, researchers, and officials at both Central and State levels.

• About Gender Budgeting: A method to apply a gender lens to every stage of policy-making and budgeting. It involves: Gender-sensitive policy formulation, Budget allocations addressing women’s needs and Monitoring and evaluation of gender outcomes.
• India’s Progress: First gender budget introduced in 2005–06. Gender budget allocation grew from ₹0.98 lakh crore in 2014–15 to ₹4.49 lakh crore in 2025–26 (4.5 times increase).
