The Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) exam is conducted by the RPSC to recruit Group A and Group B officers for Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services. Understanding the <\/span>RPSC RAS Exam Syllabus<\/b> and pattern is crucial for effective preparation. The Prelims stage (held 2 Feb 2025) is objective and qualifying, testing General Knowledge. Mains is descriptive (4 papers \u00d7200 marks each) on GS and language skills. It has three stages \u2013 <\/span>Prelims (screening)<\/b>, <\/span>Mains (written exam)<\/b>, and <\/span>Interview<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

RAS Prelims Syllabus consists of one paper (200 marks, 150 questions, 3 hours) on <\/span>General Studies & Science<\/b> including CSAT. There is one single General Studies paper in RPSC RAS Exam. It includes both General studies and CSAT Questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

RAS Syllabus Mains 2025<\/b><\/h2>\n

RAS Syllabus Mains: RAS General Studies I Syllabus<\/b><\/h3>\n

Paper I is divided into three units: History; Economics; and Sociology\/Administration. The History unit covers Rajasthan\u2019s heritage (arts, literature, folk traditions) and world Indian history (freedom struggle, modern history). Economics unit includes national economic issues and Rajasthan\u2019s economy. The third unit (Sociology & Administration) covers sociological concepts (social values, caste, tribes, social change) and basics of management and accounting.<\/span><\/p>\n

RAS Syllabus Mains: RAS General Studies II Syllabus<\/b><\/h3>\n

This paper tests analytical ability (Part I: logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude) and science (Part II) along with earth sciences (Part III: physical geography). The Reasoning & Numeracy unit includes puzzles, data interpretation and math (as in CSAT). General Science & Tech covers everyday science and current tech. Earth Science covers physical geography of India\/world.<\/span><\/p>\n

RAS Syllabus Mains: RAS General Studies III Syllabus<\/b><\/h3>\n

Paper III focuses on governance and international affairs. Unit I covers the Indian political system, constitution, fundamental rights, and foreign relations. Unit II covers public administration concepts and management issues. Unit III includes topics like environmental policy, sustainable development, and law (such as social justice, legal institutions).<\/span><\/p>\n

RAS Syllabus Mains: RAS Hindi & English (Compulsory) Syllabus<\/b><\/h3>\n

The RAS Compulsory Paper checks language proficiency in Hindi and English. It comprises of Hindi grammar, essay writing and comprehension (in Devanagari script), as well as English grammar, vocabulary, translation and pr\u00e9cis writing. Strong writing skills and clarity are essential here.<\/span><\/p>\n
