He carried forward the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and other gurus and strengthened the foundation of Sikhism.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>History of Guru Tegh Bahadur<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guru Teg Bahadur Ji spent most of his life in meditation, sadhana, and service. He traveled to Bihar<\/span><b>, Bengal, Assam, and Uttar Pradesh. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He also traveled the world and inspired people to follow the path of true religion and truth. He was a staunch opponent of casteism, discrimination, and religious discrimination.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mughal emperor Aurangzeb raised his voice against the religious persecution and forced conversion to Islam in the country by the government. They told Guruji that if they did not convert to Islam, Aurangzeb would kill them. To this, Guruji said:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>&#8220;If Aurangzeb cannot convert me to Islam, no one else can be forced.&#8221;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He went to Delhi and repeated the same truth in front of Aurangzeb. For this, she was imprisoned, and his disciples\u2014Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Daya, and Bhai Sati Das\u2014were brutally martyred. In the end, on November 24, 1675, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was beheaded in Chandni Chowk, Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brother Jaita, his followers, and his head were secretly carried from Anandpur Sahib to the cremation site.
